Surprising no one, I’m not great at sticking to weekly blog posts. I can’t even remember to do the post-month wrap-up. I’ll get there. I’m working on it. I have a calendar reminder now.
This post will mostly be images from April, but here’s a few things that happened:
- Got zero professional feedback from RevPit, got TONS of new writer friends. Win for me!
- Participated in my first pitch event—QuestPit. Another opportunity to make tons of writer friends.
- Officially got a promotion at work, rather than it just being talked about. Yeehaw!
- Ate at Lost Letter and L’Opossum. L’Opossum is a city (and personal) favorite.
- My husband and I celebrated one year since our wedding. We’ve been legally married since January 2024, but didn’t have our ceremony till April 2025. The more anniversaries the better.

I promise, in the future, when I visit nice restaurants I’ll write better reviews of them. This is my mid-year resolution.
My goals for April 2026 were simple. Continue prepping to query (which I’m on track for!) and work on house DIY as needed. The electrical work I mentioned in March 2026 is done so the kitchen is ready to be tackled again. Except, we decided to focus on something else first. I call it “The Big Swap.” More soon.
